Job information Elementary Administrative Assistant from School District #62 (Sooke). This vacancy is located in Victoria, BC V9B 5Y1, Canada. The position requires a Bachelor Degree. Job openings in this Administrative field are currently available and published.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Position: Elementary Administrative Assistant at David Cameron Elementary School.
  2. Hours: Forty hours per week.
  3. Knowledge: Preferably familiar with KEV Connect and School Cash Online.
  4. Training and Resources: Includes webinars on KEV Connect and access to the School Cash Online Resource Center.
Qualifications:
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent, plus a 2-year Office Administration program including courses in accounting and office procedures, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft).
  • Additional certifications and knowledge as listed, including trauma-informed practice, medication administration, MyEducation BC, Ministry data requirements, AtrieveERP, KEV Cash Online, Traversa, communication platforms, IT Dashboard, Salto Pro, First Aid, and WCB regulations.
  • Minimum four years of office experience, with at least one year in a school office.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, organize work, and handle interruptions efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Supervise clerical staff, manage office operations, handle financial transactions, and maintain student and staff records.
  • Coordinate transportation, emergency response, and school activities.
  • Provide first aid and support emergency procedures.
  • Assist in instructional preparation and maintain office systems.
  • Handle public inquiries, appointments, and correspondence.

Rate of pay: $33.34/hour, commencing August 25, 2025, or as notified.
