What You'll Be Doing:

1. Evaluate long-term direction and recommend solutions to scale with our rapid growth.
2. Collaborate with team members on key architecture decisions.
3. Develop high-quality machine learning models and solutions that align with the needs and regulations.
4. Regularly collaborate with other developers, project managers, and customers to successfully complete projects.
5. Participate in regular code reviews, often in a mentorship role with other engineers, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
6. Create and refine best practices, coding standards, and documentation, share knowledge and insights with the team.
7. Make recommendations to refine and improve our engineering practices.

Qualifications for Ideal Candidate:

1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
2. 3+ years of experience in software engineering working with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, NodeJS, Java, C#.
3. 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, NLP, data mining, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field.
4. Proven experience leading and managing machine learning, deep learning, and AI projects.
5. Experience with Open-Source Large Language Models (LLMs) and complementary tools: PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LLAMA CCP, etc.
6. Experience with developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact.
7. Track record of setting technical direction for a team, driving consensus, and establishing successful cross-functional partnerships.
8. Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow) and their application to machine learning workflows.
9. Experience with cloud-based services; AWS preferred (e.g., EKS, Lambda, Sagemaker), with a strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance requirements.
10. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions), ensuring reliable and compliant software delivery.
11. Proven experience as a solution architect, software architect, or a similar role, with a focus on machine learning.
12. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
13. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
