Arcadis is seeking an Intermediate ITS Designer to join our team. This role will play a vital role in the delivery of ITS projects for provincial, municipal and private sector clients. Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, you will participate in a variety of ITS engineering projects from conceptual designs, systems engineering, feasibility studies, technology market research, and prepare technical drawings and documentation that facilitate the procurement, construction, and integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems.

The ITS Designer will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization, and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

• Conducting research, presenting technical content to internal teams and clients, developing presentations and reports.
• Developing ITS concept designs and detail design using MS Visio Drafting and AutoCAD software to create ITS layouts, wiring diagrams, detailed drawings, and network schematics.
• Developing project schedules using MS Project and Excel. Organizing and managing files and project documentation effectively.
• Coordination with other team members, internal and external stakeholders such as other engineering disciplines, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to integrate ITS designs seamlessly with overall project plans.
• Conducting thorough reviews of drawings and documentation to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies. Ensuring that drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to clarify design requirements, address technical issues, and provide updates on project progress. Participating in design meetings and reviews as needed.

Software Proficiency :

• CAD software tools and related applications, O365, MS Project, Visio.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in engineering : Civil or Electrical.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering.
• Familiarity with ITS engineering industry, technology, concepts, and terminology.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
