Role Overview

As an Associate Director (IT), Portfolio Manager (OPM), you will join the Program Management Office. You will be responsible for managing the Canadian portfolio, ensuring compliance, resource optimization, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.

You will oversee a team of IT project managers and play a crucial role in strategy deployment and talent development.

Work Details

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, performed exclusively onsite.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and coordinate IT project management resources across Pratt & Whitney Canada's portfolio.
  • Identify and develop key talent, elevate project management standards.
  • Champion change and support the transformation of the PMO towards a global framework.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on milestones and objectives.
  • Ensure project execution complies with established processes.
  • Collaborate with other portfolio owners for reporting and information sharing.
  • Utilize the RTX system to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with staffing vendors.
  • Work with business relationship managers to align projects with organizational strategies.
Success Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or MBA.
  • 10 years of professional experience.
  • Bilingual: strong English skills required for documentation, technical terms, and communication with international stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale portfolios or programs.
  • Experience presenting to executives and interacting with senior leadership.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing (asset).
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Process Improvement, CORE Champion (preferred), and PMI (asset).
