A leading company is seeking a Director for their Real Estate team in Calgary. The role involves managing a portfolio of commercial real estate clients, providing lending solutions, and mentoring staff. Ideal candidates will have a strong sales background, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of credit structuring. What is the opportunity? As a Director on the Real Estate team, you will be responsible for business development and management of a portfolio of commercial real estate clients, with a primary focus on providing lending solutions for low-rise and high-rise residential real estate projects as well as income producing real estate. In this role, you will work directly with some of RBC’s most highly-valued clients, structuring bilateral as well as large, complex syndicated facilities. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor, connecting clients with other RBC partners to meet their diverse commercial and personal financial needs. While credit structuring and portfolio management is ultimately your responsibility, you will be supported by an Associate Director, who will assist with analyzing and underwriting new loan requests, including compiling financial and market information and preparing credit submissions for RBC’s real estate risk management group for loan adjudication. Other responsibilities include maintaining your portfolio in good credit health, including proactively managing credit expiries, securities and reporting requirements.
