Office and Lab Support Assistant

Position: Permanent Part-Time

Location: Kamloops, BC

We are seeking a Office and Lab Support Assistant to join our Kamloops team on a permanent part-time basis. This role starts with a minimum of 20 hours per week, with potential to transition to full-time.

What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • Collaborate with project support team and managers on filing, project setups, and report preparation.
  • Assist in our Lab performing concrete, soils, and other tests under supervision.
  • Record results and prepare reports for engineers’ review.
  • Greet visitors and maintain cleanliness of the front entrance.
  • Set up reception area and open the office.
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Manage supplies for kitchen, copying, and printing areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the office, including kitchens, reception, boardrooms, and lab areas.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier shipments.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, copying, emailing, filing, scheduling, and document management.
  • Support HR functions like onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with HR and management.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed for staff and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience in administration.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety practices.
