Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Lines Claims Adjuster to join our team in Dartmouth, NS, Canada. The successful candidate will evaluate claims through loss investigation and negotiate settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. We offer a hybrid work setup for this position, and regular travel to loss locations throughout the territory is expected.

Responsibilities

  1. Review and analyze experts’ reports
  2. Select and direct independent experts
  3. Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities
  4. Secure and manage litigation disposition plans and budgets
  5. Maintain detailed records of file activities and transactions in Crawford and Company systems and client-based systems
  6. Work with the manager to maintain client relations
  7. Liaise and collaborate with all facets of the insurance community, including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel, and regulators

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 5 years of functional and technical experience in an insurance environment
  2. Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is considered an asset
  3. Full independent adjusting license or working towards CIP designation
  4. Experience in road adjusting, including investigation and detailed reporting of property and casualty claims
  5. Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis
  6. Proficiency in Office 365 and Windows 10
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  8. Bilingual in French is considered an asset
  9. Strong customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team
  10. Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth
  11. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required
