Data Center Technician

You would act as the Data Center Technician for the Plano location.

As a Data Center Technician, you will:

• Help with migration activity, installation, and patching.
• Collect assets and network patching data.
• Procure and deploy DC equipment and do the required physical connections in DC.
• Work with the network team and help on-site for troubleshooting network issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all deployed assets.
• Have proven experience in data center cabling.
• Help coordinate with different teams to manage access, issues, and assets.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 network issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Help ensure the DC is neat and clean at all times and follow our DC process.
• Be available to participate in on-call shifts for urgent issues.

We are looking for:

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

• 2+ years of experience in networking.
• 2+ years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience in deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting data center devices.
• Previous experience with DCIM tools is an asset.

Assets:

• Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP).
• Computer Science background or Networking Certification.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $70,000 - $95,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
