  • NOC Job Code/Title: 44101 - Family Caregiver

Terms of employment: This is a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible hours are required. Language requirements include English or French. Job start date is November 1, 2025.

Salary: The wage offered ranges from $19 to $23 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made in accordance with the First Quartile wage rate changes for this field in Quebec.

Location: JaPa… resides in Montreal, Quebec. The home is located in a residential neighborhood with nearby schools and parks. Public transportation is accessible, with bus routes # 24 and # 138 close by, near the intersection of Decarie Boul. and Sherbrooke St. W.

Duties may include:

  1. Assisting with the care of a 5-year-old child.
  2. Supervising the child when parents are not at home.
  3. Organizing and participating in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide entertainment and exercise.
  4. Disciplining the child according to the methods requested by the parents.
  5. Bathing the child as needed.
  6. Performing general housework including laundry and some ironing.
  7. Dusting rooms to maintain cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Canadian secondary school education completed.
  2. At least one year of relevant work experience as a caregiver.
  3. Dependable, hardworking, independent, patient, and capable of managing the job without supervision.
