Hotel Front Desk and Housekeeping Room Attendant - Jasper, AB - Becker's Chalets

Pay: $16.50–$19.00 an hour

Job Type: Fixed term contract, Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time

Shift and Schedule: 8 hour shift, Overtime, Morning shift

Location: Jasper, AB

Contract Dates: April 9, 2025, to approximately October 27, 2025, with potential for extension to permanent year-round employment.

Job Description:

This position involves working part of the week in the front desk department and part in housekeeping, forming a full-time position working 6 days with 1 day off per week.

Front Desk Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure a positive and memorable first/last impression for guests.
  2. Interact with guests during check-in, check-out, and general inquiries.
  3. Memorize reservation codes and room descriptions.
  4. Become proficient with reservations software (Visual One).
  5. Perform front desk tasks including answering phone calls/emails, assisting guests, handling payments, and maintaining the front desk area.
  6. Work under minimal supervision and assist with spontaneous tasks as required.
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in daily team meetings and prepare for cleaning tasks.
  2. Clean chalets, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and inventory checks.
  3. Complete cleaning tasks including kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas.
  4. Interact with guests politely and professionally during cleaning.
  5. Comply with health and safety policies and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Must be a Canadian citizen, have a valid Canadian PR card, or a valid Canadian work visa.
  2. Experience in housekeeping (1 year preferred) and customer service (1 year required).
