Solution Architect

We're looking for a Solution Architect with Backbase experience to join our team! When you join Aequilibrium, you become part of a fun and agile company driving innovative change in FinTech and VR. Who You Are

1. As a Solution Architect, you ensure that envisioned solutions become reality.
2. You are comfortable in technical workshops and board-level sales presentations.
3. You can identify scope in large, complex projects.
4. You serve as the main contact for development teams during implementation, acting as an expert liaison for customers and partners.
5. You have experience leading development teams.
6. You can discuss technical details and business outcomes, translating customer requirements into designs.
7. You focus on security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, and serviceability.
8. You understand project delivery constraints and support the technical team in building solutions.
9. You have experience creating technical architecture documentation, defining test strategies, leading DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring non-functional requirements are met.
10. You are willing to travel extensively for project phases and training.

Must-Have Qualifications

1. Strong knowledge of the Java platform.
2. Experience designing solutions for financial services, especially banking.
3. Experience with Spring, Maven, and Jenkins.
4. Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Micro-Services Architecture.
5. Knowledge of architectural frameworks and best practices.
6. Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks.
7. Operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and infrastructure for deploying web applications in scalable environments.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to Haves

1. Experience with the Backbase platform.
2. Experience with Portal/Web Content Management.
3. Familiarity with Microservices, CQRS, and event sourcing architectural patterns.
4. Experience with virtualization and container technologies like Docker, VMWare, HyperV.
5. Experience with Integration Platforms and API Gateways.

Location

This is a fully remote, full-time position. Candidates outside Canada will work as independent contractors.

Compensation

The salary range is CAD $90K-$150K annually, or equivalent hourly rate for contractors outside Canada. Compensation depends on skills and experience.
