Position Summary

This course extends and deepens understanding of practice and theory related to English language and literacy development, including unit and long-range planning, assessment, instruction, and implementation of the Ontario Curriculum across grades K to 6. The course focuses on consolidating research-based instructional strategies to support students’ literacy development, considering a broad definition of literacy that includes equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigenization practices to foster a critical approach to teaching literacy.
