Galati Cheese is a fifty-year old Canadian manufacturer of Italian and other artisan cheese varieties.The Company has a well-established brand in Western Ontario and is looking to expand its reach throughout the province.We’ve earned the trust of highly discerning chefs, restaurant owners and families that want cheese that makes their recipes memorable. Galati is looking for an experienced sales representative to expand its reach throughout lower Ontario through partnerships with strategic foodservice distribution partners and direct relationships with restaurants and pizzerias.

Responsibilities

Your success will be measured on your ability to grow sales within your assigned territory, which will be predominately areas east of Windsor / Essex County, Ontario. You will be expected to :

  • Build new strategic partnerships with foodservice distributors, delivering profitable growth with these relationships;
  • Service, maintain, and upsell existing foodservice distributors and support distributors’ outreach to local restaurants;
  • Train distributors' salesforces on product attributes and benefits;
  • The candidate will also be responsible for executing a sales strategy aimed at winning business directly with restaurants, with a particular focus on independently-owned, multi-unit pizza chains.
  • This position is a work-from-home position.Candidate will be expected to travel at least 50% of the time for meetings with foodservice distributors, supporting the distributors with end-user (restaurant) sales meetings, and periodic travel to Windsor, ON (Company Headquarters).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • Food Service or consumer packaged goods experience preferred (particularly food and beverage).
  • Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent work experience
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Must current reside in southern Ontario with a preference for individuals residing between London and the GTA.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving long distances throughout Ontario.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs periodically
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
