About this Opportunity:
The Regional Lead reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day running and operations of the Branch including scheduling of staff. The incumbent is responsible for supervising branch staff and implementing and monitoring our standards of business. Duties include working with our People & Culture team for recruitment and for supporting performance management of Insurance Advisors. Regional Leads are also charged with assisting in the marketing of ONE in their communities. This position is responsible for the customer service experience in the branch and as such requires coaching, mentoring, and training of staff. The Regional Lead will help to resolve difficult customer issues and ensure they are handled professionally. The Regional Lead is expected to learn all company products, including Autopac and personal lines and work towards obtaining their CAIB 2 license and/or designation in the future. A solid understanding of company products, in particular those pertaining to Autopac and Personal lines, is critical to this position.
Major Responsibilities:
• Supports the Regional Manager in leading employees in the region and ensures that workflows and service standards are followed.
• Motivates and builds team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations and leading by example.
• Supports the successful onboarding of new hires.
• Provides training and development to all employees and encourages continued education
• Assists the Regional Manager in branch development plans including growth targets and marketing initiatives.
• Supports and assists the Regional Manager with reviewing the monthly production reports for accuracy.
• Tracks accounts receivable on a monthly basis and instructs staff in collection methods.
• Employee scheduling and attendance time sheets.
• Participate in the monthly staff meeting as directed by the Regional Manager as well as biweekly employee check-in.
• Share successes, fosters an atmosphere of success.
Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
• Previous working knowledge of EPIC, IWS, Autopac, SRE, Blue Cross and Personal Lines Insurance is considered an asset
• Demonstrated experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general proficiency with computers.
• Mentoring and coaching staff and proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Driven to deliver superior service by exceeding customer expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Able to work well as a team player in a fast paced, energetic environment.
• Presents a professional image in words and actions.
• Excellent verbal written English and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong math skills and basic understanding of accounting functions.
• Ability to translate complex or technical information.
• Proven ability to plan, set and achieve goals.
• Self-starter and uses good judgment in all situations.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• College diploma or University degree in a business-related discipline is an asset.
• Level 2 Insurance License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar position is considered an asset
• 3-5 years of experience supervising or managing staff.
• 3-5 years with a Personal lines Book of Business along with some small Commercial experience is considered an asset
