Job description

Job Training Opportunity in Island Health

This position offers a regular full-time training opportunity (theory and practicum) to prepare staff for work in a specific Island Health specialty department. Upon successful completion, staff will be placed into a full-time rotation within the designated department.

Important Note: There is an 18-month return of service requirement as a regular/permanent employee within the same specialty department. Staff may transfer between departments within that specialty. Reporting and Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN, with recent medical and/or surgical experience.
• Upon completing the specialty training, the employee will be transitioned into a permanent position within the department.
