Technical Business Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and scope business requirements and opportunities to define detailed requirements and design specifications. Specifications include functional specifications, process designs, user interface (UI) designs and end-user documentation.
2. Create Business Analysis documents including Business cases, Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Documents, System Requirement Documents, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Roadmaps, Process Maps, Workflow diagrams, Use Cases etc.
3. Conduct design and test reviews with the project teams to ensure systems design, development, and testing are aligned to support the intended objectives.
4. Prepare business processes workflows and conduct gap analysis for as-is and to-be processes.
5. Review systems architecture design documents to ensure the design can be mapped back to the requirements (requirements traceability).
6. Evaluate capabilities/limitations of existing systems.
7. Prepare procurement documents including RFPs (Request for Procurement) and RFQs (Request for Quote).

Job Specifications:

1. Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, IT or a related discipline with 3-5 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience in conducting research, data collection/analysis and report writing.
3. Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex and voluminous information into written reports.
4. Proven ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and ability to multi-task are a must.
5. Proficiency in diagramming tools is required, MS Visio preferred.
6. Previous experience on business process improvement projects, documented and analyzed business processes, calculated benefits for proposed changes, presented solutions, and developed final deliverables.
7. Strong research, analytical and problem solving ability.
