Position Overview

As a Jazz Ramp Attendant, you will ensure the safe and timely arrival and departure of aircraft. Your responsibilities include:

  • Pre-placing ground equipment for aircraft arrivals
  • Marshaling aircraft in and out of designated parking spots
  • Loading and unloading baggage and cargo for customers
  • Communicating essential information to pilots and team members

You will work with a diverse team, respecting all co-workers and customers. This safety-critical role requires adherence to operating procedures around aircrafts. Jazz is the express carrier for Air Canada and may also support other airline operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties following established policies and procedures, prioritizing safety
  • Assist passengers with disabilities during boarding and deplaning
  • Clean and groom aircraft between flights
  • Operate various ground support equipment and vehicles
  • Secure aircraft with wheel chocks and weather protective gear
  • Complete electronic and paper forms related to equipment maintenance and safety
  • Continuously develop ramp skills and responsibilities
  • Support shift coverage and assist coworkers as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bondable with a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate ground vehicles and equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Previous ramp experience is preferred
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset; in some stations, bilingualism is required
