Compensation: 25-59R

Position: Custodian

Location: Timmins Centennial Public School

Start date: As soon as possible

Vacancy Details: 0.5 (Permanent/full-time, 20 hours/week - 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm)

Position Summary

Maintain the Board's buildings by performing routine cleaning and related tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry)
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Skillful and efficient use of cleaning materials and equipment; ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor with assistance
  • Physical ability to perform medium to heavy work tasks
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current WHMIS certificate
  • Experience in custodial work preferred

Salary as per the current CUPE collective agreement.
