The Counsel will support the VP-Chief Counsel Global Marketing & Media, working on initiatives related to global marketing digital transformation, creative, media, production, technology, and digital content. The role involves supporting global Marketing, Consumer Experience, Procurement, Mondelez Digital Services, and other functions, focusing on marketing, media, brand initiatives, social media, digital commerce, MarTech, Gen AI, and related topics.

The Counsel also supports the Corporate & Legal Affairs Department, developing strategies, global agency agreements, and brand initiatives with an emphasis on risk management, policy development, and contract negotiation. The role aims to develop global strategies, promote consistent standards, and support initiatives across the organization, including global frameworks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide legal advice, contract support, and strategy development for global marketing and media functions.
  2. Participate in and lead global projects related to marketing, media, tech, data, and social media.
  3. Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts, policies, and legal documents.
  4. Manage NDAs and data sharing agreements with external partners.
  5. Support global projects, risk management, and best practice development.
  6. Manage content curation and deployment for the Global Marketing Legal Community of Practice and knowledge management tools.
  7. Resolve disputes with business partners related to marketing and media.
  8. Identify training needs, develop, and deliver training on legal topics in marketing, media, tech, and digital initiatives.
  9. Keep the team informed of legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business.
  10. Develop strategies and ensure global policy compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Law degree from an accredited institution, licensed to practice law.
  • Over 3 years of experience in intellectual property, marketing, or media law.
  • Strong management, research, writing, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Integrity and ability to communicate effectively with non-legal audiences.
  • Experience with social media, marketing, media, Gen AI, MarTech, and contract review.
  • Preferred: prior CPG experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
