Job Description

The role of the Inside Sales Representative is to provide first-class support to our customers at our Halifax office, both on a technical and commercial level. Each Inside Sales Representative is assigned a specific clientele to develop strong relationships and understanding. The candidate must demonstrate good knowledge of the subject matter and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Our Inside Sales Representatives are considered important technical resources by our customers.

The candidate will report directly to the Branch Manager and collaborate closely with Outside Sales Representatives and customers. The Inside Sales Representative will adhere to procedures and work instructions, representing Everest in delivering quality and reliable service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Make quotations for conventional products.
  2. Follow up on quotes delegated by external representatives.
  3. Provide technical and commercial support to customers.
  4. Stay updated on products and services offered by Everest Automation.
  5. Enter customer orders accurately.
  6. Follow up on order status and delivery.
  7. Place purchase orders for conventional products not in stock or at special prices with suppliers.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline with appropriate experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in sales and valve selection.
  • Strong desire and ability to serve customers effectively.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage a variable workload.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
