Provides a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where preschool children have the opportunity to develop spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. May lead and functionally supervise teacher's aides or assistants.
Hours: Part-Time, 35 hours/week
Campus: Vancouver
Reports directly to: Preschool Manager
Supervises: Preschool Teaching Assistant as needed

Qualifications:
Ability to work and relate positively with preschool staff, children, and parents
Ability to establish a pleasant work environment in the classroom setting
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work effectively in a high-energy environment
Must be able to move about the classroom
Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing
Must meet qualifications as described by the WAC Minimum Licensing Requirements for Child Care Centers established by the Washington Department of Early Learning (section 170-295-1040)
Responsibilities:
Prepares lessons on Bible topics, verse of the day, teaches lessons minutes each day
Leads and coordinates weekly lessons
Integrates Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities
Assists in the preparation and implementation of educational curriculum
Assists in teaching prearranged MCA curriculum to students on a regular schedule
Monitors and maintains an orderly, positive, and learning-friendly environment in the classroom for the students while correcting children as needed
Communicates with Preschool Manager and Teachers on a regular basis regarding student progress, behavior, and other matters
Works in conjunction with preschool staff to carry out a variety of student activities including group times, snack, bathroom breaks, playtimes, art projects, and gross motor activities
Maintains the classroom daily, making sure that everything is accounted for, cleaned up, and put away properly
Attends special staff meetings, school conventions, parent meetings, and other special MCA functions
Is familiar with certification requirements and classroom procedures and performs duties in accordance with those requirements
Teaches a religious Bible lesson to the students in each of the classrooms
