Licensed Clinical Psychologist at : Dr. Vermani Balanced Wellbeing / MV Psychological Services and at Start Living Corporate Wellness

JOB DESCRIPTION :

At Start Living Psychology Inc., we strongly believe that great things can only be achieved by having a strong and dedicated team of motivated individuals.

We are looking for highly motivated, talented, and compassionate Registered Psychologists, Psychologists under supervised practice, Psychotherapists, Social Workers, Marital Counsellors, ADD Coaches, and Psychological Associates interested in building a thriving caseload to join our growing team of professionals!

We deliver evidence-based mental health and wellness services to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples. Our focus is on providing interventions that integrate well-validated psychotherapy models (e.g., EFT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness meditation, EMDR, family systems, and contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy).

You will have the opportunity to engage in multiple monthly peer consultations led by the clinic director, including: private practice management, individual psychotherapy, couple psychotherapy, and clinical assessments. We also offer opportunities to start and run groups or workshops of your own interest.

When you join our team, you become part of a community that prioritizes professional growth, collaboration, support, and connection.

Training and Consultation

We encourage and support personal growth and work-life balance for our associates by providing regular peer and 1:1 consultation in individual and couple psychotherapy, psychodiagnostics assessment, work-life balance, cybersecurity, and integrative psychotherapy.

Business of Private Practice

Many of our clinicians who joined our team are new to private practice. We provide comprehensive support in managing the business of your own private practice (all of what they don’t teach you in grad school). This includes 1:1 consultation with the clinic director as well as templates and tools designed to assist practitioners in doing their best work. We believe that if the clinician is thriving in their caseload, the clinic does well as a collective.

Values

Our clinic values relationships, self-care, ethical practices, autonomy, and advocacy for mental health services.

Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive Frameworks

We provide psychological interventions to BIPOC and marginalized people using anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks.

Location and Lifestyle

Our office is located near the Eaton Centre, in downtown Toronto, close to Nathan Phillips Square, the CN Tower, and the St. Lawrence Market—popular destinations for locals and visitors alike. The area offers numerous restaurants and amenities, with easy access to public transportation and parking options.

What YOU will bring as Psychologist / Psychological Associate :
  • MA / PhD / PsyD in a Social, Clinical, Counseling, or related program
  • Registration in good standing with the CPBAO
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and/or adults
  • Training in evidence-based interventions and a strong interest in psychotherapy integration
  • Excellent case conceptualization skills
  • Strong interest in working with complexity and diversity in client presentation
  • Interest in building a thriving private practice
  • Interest in working both virtually and in-person
  • Motivated, mature, and ethically sound candidates
  • Family and couple therapy experience (asset)
