About The Role

We are seeking a Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Basis Administrator who will lead the technology transformation initiatives and serve as a key technical resource within the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) SAP team. This will include supporting the database migration from Microsoft (MS) Structured Query Language (SQL) to SAP High-performance ANalytic Application (HANA) and the drive to S/4 in the coming years. Additionally, the resource will support day-to-day operations including managing system accounts, performance tuning, daily monitoring activities, and troubleshooting incidents.

What you bring to the role

1. 10+ years of Basis experience
2. 2+ years of experience with HANA
3. Strong knowledge and experience with SAP systems running Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), MS SQL
4. Experience defining SAP Backup and Recovery solutions
5. Daily monitoring and incident management experience, such as work process monitoring, checking logs, managing background jobs, implementing Open-Source Software (OSS) notes
6. Experience performing client copies, system copies, and system refreshes
7. Experience patching and upgrading SAP
8. One full lifecycle project performing an Operating System (OS)/Database (DB) migration to SAP HANA
9. Strong communication skills in English

Additional Skills Desired For The Role

1. SAP Basis certification
2. Experience with Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and JAVA stack systems
3. Experience with Enterprise Portal
4. Experience supporting SAP security functions
5. Experience in designing system landscape with cloud architecture
6. Nice to have experience migrating to SAP RISE
7. Experience deploying and managing Fiori in an embedded architecture
