We are looking for a full-time bilingual (French/English) Senior Lease Analyst to join our team!

SUMMARY

The Senior Lease Analyst is responsible for abstracting key information from lease agreements, maintaining lease data within our database, and managing rental payments for landlords and tenants. This role provides guidance to less experienced team members and collaborates across departments to support our integrated building operations approach.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Ownership and Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and legal requirements as mandated by BGIS and law.

Lease Abstraction

  • Review lease agreements and extract key information like provisions, clauses, options, dates, property details, and obligations.
  • Enter and maintain lease data accurately in our database, ensuring data integrity.

Rent Payment Processing

  • Process monthly and ad hoc rent payments.
  • Prepare rent roll reports, adjust rent information, and handle retroactive payments.
  • Generate reports for clients.

Additional Rent Review

  • Review annual operating cost increases proposed by landlords, verify reasons, and ensure compliance with lease terms.
  • Provide recommendations on operating cost budgets.

People Leadership

  • Guide and support Lease Analysts.

Reporting

  • Create and analyze reports; perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or related field; or equivalent training (e.g., RPA, CET).
  • 3-5 years of experience in lease administration, real estate accounting, or property management.
  • Experience with lease management systems preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex lease language.
  • Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitask, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Real Property Administrator designation is an asset.
