Job description

This job offers a flexible schedule, Monday to Friday, with 3 x 8-hour days per week. It is a part-time salaried position.

As a PART-TIME Retail Field Merchandiser Representative with Elbows Out Inc, you will be responsible for driving to specific retailers (grocery, mass, pharmacy, discount, specialty, gas, and convenience) on a designated weekly route.

Once at these retailers, you will complete specific merchandising and sales tasks for various CPG and natural product brands to improve their in-store presence and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Relationship Management: Build and foster professional relationships with key stakeholders at all retailers on your route, as well as CPG clients, brokers, and distributors.
  2. Route Management: Manage merchandising on a specific route, ensuring consistent, professional, and impactful product presence on shelves, displays, and secondary placements.
  3. Merchandising Excellence: Ensure shelves look their best, with POS materials in place and displays installed as per agreements.
  4. Market Intelligence: Gather and relay feedback regarding brands, monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes.
  5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure accurate pricing and tagging, maintain racking, and adhere to merchandising agreements and planograms.
  6. Sales Growth: Close distribution gaps, capitalize on promotional activities, handle automatic ordering based on sales data, and innovate on-shelf strategies.

Requirements:

  1. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  2. Prior experience in CPG retail merchandising is an asset.
  3. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  4. Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  5. Technological proficiency, especially with smartphones and apps.
  6. Analytical skills with a strong understanding of sales data.
  7. A self-starter who can work autonomously.
  8. A valid driver's license.
  9. Valid car insurance for business use/travel.
  10. Ability and desire to drive daily within the designated route.
  11. Ability to lift cases of food/beverage product, up to 11.5kg or 25lb, repeatedly, while moving inventory and re-stocking shelves.
