The Pella Residential Sales Consultant works from a home office and conducts in-home sales appointments with customers.

Pella Corporation, a growing and stable company, is seeking a Residential Sales Consultant for the greater Ottawa territory. We are looking for a confident, outgoing Sales Consultant who is self-disciplined and enjoys a challenge. We offer independence, a fast-paced, and fun work environment. Responsibilities
  1. Perform in-home residential window and door replacement consultations following Pella’s sales process, including product demonstrations, project evaluation, measuring, estimating, closing sales, and post-installation follow-up.
  2. Manage practices to increase sales, improve profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Generate repeat, referral, and new customers independently of marketing efforts.
  4. Availability for customer appointments during evenings and every other Saturday, with a rotating schedule from Monday to Saturday or Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all customer relations, sales, collections, and satisfaction in the replacement segment.
  • Generate leads, demonstrate products, discuss options, and take measurements on-site.
  • Ensure accurate quotes and orders, following company procedures.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for project completion.
  • Adhere to policies on pricing, products, installation, credit, and collections.
  • Follow up with prospects regarding business updates.
  • Use electronic software (e.g., PQM, MS Office) for tracking and sales.
  • Follow up to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator for customer issues.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications

Education & Experience: BS/BA, AA, or technical degree preferred; 2-4 years in sales, customer service, or business; knowledge of construction or window/door applications is a plus.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn Pella proprietary software; spreadsheet skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English; strong customer service; professional presentation and etiquette.

Professional Skills: Team player, proactive, disciplined, organized, detail-oriented, and able to resolve conflicts effectively.

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic, percentages, measurements, and algebra.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds; frequent visits to job sites and customer homes; own insured vehicle and home internet required.
