The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Sinai Health, is inviting applications for a full-time Academic Urologic Oncologist, effective September 1, 2025.
The successful candidate must be a urologist with fellowship training in urologic oncology and expertise in robotic surgery. Experience in robotic radical cystectomy with intra-corporeal urinary diversion is an asset. The role involves managing complex urologic oncology cases and participating in multidisciplinary care alongside gynecology, colorectal, and sarcoma surgical services.
Beyond clinical duties, the candidate will participate in the division’s academic and educational missions, with eligibility for appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor as a Surgeon-Investigator or Surgeon-Scientist. Candidates should hold at least a Master’s degree, demonstrate interest and experience in clinical trials and health services research, and participate in training medical students, residents, and fellows. Excellence in teaching and research is required.
The candidate must hold an MD or equivalent, be eligible for certification in Urology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Sinai Health System, affiliated with the University of Toronto, comprises Mount Sinai Hospital, Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Lunenfeld-Tannenbaum Research Institute, and Circle of Care. It offers a continuum of care that integrates acute, complex, rehabilitative, primary, and community services. The Division of Urology at Mount Sinai Hospital is closely affiliated with Women’s College Hospital, with a team of 7 full-time faculty members specializing in urologic oncology, andrology, infertility, and transition-related surgery.
Compensation is primarily based on OHIP fee-for-service billings, supplemented by on-call stipends and alternative payment models supporting academic and oncology activities. The salary range is $350,000–$500,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, based on fee-for-service billings.
