Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Social Services; preference for graduates of a Behavioral Science Technology degree or diploma program.
• At least one year of experience using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support individuals with complex needs in a residential setting.
• Successful completion of internal legislated and mandated training, including Safe Management Group (SMG).
• Driver's license is an asset.

Job Summary

Support individuals in daily living activities while working as part of an inter-professional team, including an ABA lead and Behavioral Services Consultant. The role involves directly implementing behavioral intervention/support plans with a focus on building community functioning capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop written programs to aid in life skills acquisition in collaboration with the ABA lead.
• Identify individual needs, participate in developing and implementing life plans, and monitor personal outcomes.
• Provide case management, personal and physical care, including medication administration, crisis response, and advocacy.
• Offer emotional support and refer to professionals when necessary.
• Maintain documentation, monitor finances, and ensure a standard of living.
• Provide direction to part-time staff as needed.
• Give feedback to the ABA lead on program implementation.
