Qualifications
  • A high school diploma and 6 months of related work experience, with knowledge of healthcare procedures and mechanical equipment such as wheelchairs, lifts, G-tubes, and other specialized equipment. Post-secondary education in Social Services or Developmental Services may be considered as an equivalent with no related experience required.
  • Successful completion of internal legislated and mandated training.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset.
Job Summary

Contributes to the delivery of supports and programs aligned with individual life plans to meet their needs and enhance their capacity to function in all aspects of community living.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a program supervisor, responsible for carrying out assigned duties related to service provision.
  • Supporting assessment of daily needs and the implementation and monitoring of individual life plans.
  • Providing personal and physical care, including medication administration and crisis response.
  • Liaising with friends and family to address needs and sharing information.
  • Supporting life skills training and providing emotional support to individuals, either one-on-one or in groups.
