Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Documentation Engineer - this is a fully remote role and candidates need to be based in N/S America.

Over the next 10 years, payment and financial services businesses will upgrade the movement of money and financial assets to blockchain-based networks.

We are on a mission to revolutionize the way people access and transact in the world's most widely recognized and stable currency, the US Dollar. We are building a next-generation payments, asset management, and operations platform that's purpose-built for the transmission of value on blockchain digital rails. Position: Documentation Engineer

Job Overview

We're looking for a Documentation Engineer who is obsessed with creating exceptional documentation experiences. In this role, you'll own both our internal and external documentation strategies, working at the intersection of engineering and customer success. The ideal candidate will establish documentation standards that serve both our technical teams and end users, ensuring our blockchain-based financial applications are accessible, understandable, and effectively utilized.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own and drive the entire documentation process, from creation to maintenance to improvement
2. Establish documentation standards and best practices across the organization
3. Create and maintain comprehensive external documentation for our Web3 and financial products
4. Develop internal technical documentation to support engineering teams
5. Work directly with customers to understand pain points and documentation needs
6. Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure technical accuracy and completeness
7. Manage the documentation lifecycle, identifying what needs updating and when
8. Set up systems and processes for documentation management and version control
9. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content
10. Gather metrics and feedback to continuously improve documentation quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical documentation, preferably in fintech or Web3
• Strong technical writing skills with ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Experience working directly with both engineers and customers
• Proven track record of establishing documentation standards and processes
• Familiarity with modern documentation platforms and tools
• Understanding of Web3, blockchain concepts, and cryptocurrency fundamentals
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong customer empathy and ability to identify user pain points

Preferred Skills

• Experience with API documentation and developer-focused content
• Knowledge of financial systems and terminology
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Web3 technologies
• Experience with documentation automation and CI/CD integration
• Background in UX writing or information architecture
• Experience with documentation analytics and metrics
• Knowledge of accessibility standards for documentation
