Job description

We, at Leslie’s Drug Store, are a community-minded pharmacy that services the town of Biggar and surrounding towns and rural areas. The town of Biggar is a wonderful place to live and work, with many local amenities and is just an hour drive to the city of Saskatoon. We have been independently owned and operated since our opening in 1948! We encourage personal development and support all efforts to further knowledge and expertise. We know that a work-life balance is extremely important and therefore our pharmacy is closed all evenings, Sundays and holidays and we offer a rotating Saturday shift. Our practice has always been patient centered, family focused, and community-minded!

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Practice within all federal/provincial legal requirements
  • Provide counselling on prescriptions, over/behind the counter products
  • Ensure accuracy and clinical appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals within the community to provide patient care, in particular our long-term care facility
  • Able to provide services under the expanded scope of practice (i.e. minor ailment prescribing)
Education and Experience:
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
  • Advanced Injection Certification
  • Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of non-sterile compounding also an asset
