Job description

Our nationally recognized client in the Ottawa west area is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their fast-paced, growing organization on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Development, growth, cash forecasting, and monitoring of sales, profit, and investments of both current and new business partnerships
  • Managing Pricing Finance functions- budgeting & forecasting, risk analysis, ROIs, cash management, variance analysis, estimate preparation & estimate at completion, contractual reporting, facilitating Audit
  • Internal and external financial reporting, analysis of results and impact to Pricing Centre
  • Support and oversee proposal and contract preparations, including cost estimating, pricing, Bid-No Bid requirements, Request for Proposal review, risk mitigation and negotiation
  • Support negotiations and maintain strong relationships, serving as point of contact with the government, as well as both local and international industry contractors and vendors
  • Ensure corporate policies guiding revenue recognition are adhered to and properly reflected in all planning, contracts, and analysis, using IFRS and SOX, ensuring compliance to both Finance and contract processes
  • Work with Senior Management to ensure best practices and continuous improvement of Finance processes, development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Finance team members- managing performance and professional growth opportunities, as well as take part in the recruitment and onboarding process for new Finance team members

About You

The successful candidate will have the following :

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or relevant years of experience
  • CPA Designation or Master of Business Administration an asset
  • 8+ years in a similar role, preferably in a position dealing with government contract pricing
  • Familiarity with IFRS and SOX compliance
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
  • Understanding & application of confidentiality
