Job duties:

  • Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages.
  • Schedule and confirm meetings and appointments.
  • Provide clients with basic information about products and services prior to transferring them to the sales team.
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
  • Utilize quality assurance techniques to establish and carry out office procedures.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with HR-related documentation.
  • Register equipment for warranty.
  • Communicate with technicians and office staff to maintain organization.
  • Determine and put in place office procedures.

Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent.

The language of work: English.

Wage: $25.00 per hour.

Benefits package being offered: After a 3-month period of probation, a benefits package will be offered (paid 50% by the employer and 50% by the employee) and a 6% employer-paid group RRSP. Benefits include: life insurance, dental benefits, and extended health benefits.

Skills requirements

Required education:

  • Completion of:
    • Secondary school.
    • A one- or two-year college or other program for administrative assistants or secretaries or previous clerical experience.

Required work experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant prior clerical experience.
  • Experience in:
    • HVAC or in the construction industry.
    • HR is an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (for example, Microsoft Word and Excel) and CRM software.
