Qualifications

Job Description

We are looking for a Methods Engineer to add his/her expertise to our team.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and interpret aerospace prints.
  2. Prepare planning associated with the parts.
  3. Develop manufacturing procedures for assembly, composites, and manufacturing.
  4. Estimate costs for assembly, composites, and manufacturing using an engineering model.
  5. Obtain cost and material estimates from subcontractors.
  6. Plan the flow of parts.
  7. Meet all engineering and customer specifications, such as required material finishes and processing of materials.
  8. Work with MRP systems, tool orders, item masters, planning, and document control functions.
  9. Possess knowledge of shop floor operations in assembly, composites, and manufacturing.
  10. Develop and carry out work studies and related programs.
  11. Conduct work measurement or other studies.
  12. Collect and compile operational or sample data to assist in developing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.
  13. Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules, and reports.
  14. Develop integrated manufacturing procedures.
  15. Analyze costs for reduction opportunities.
  16. Design, develop, and conduct time studies and work simplification programs.
  17. Utilize CAD data effectively.
  18. Visit other facilities to coordinate work and assist fabrication.
  19. Ensure configuration control in accordance with contracts.
  20. Perform other related duties as required by the company.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 to 5 years of on-the-job experience.
  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering certificate/degree is an asset.
  • Core training in WHMIS, health & safety, quality standards, customer requirements, and specific to new contracts.
  • Proficiency in CAD and computer software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Understanding of shop floor workflow and practices.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in aerospace.
