Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Social Services. Preference given to graduates of a Behavioural Science Technology degree or diploma program.
• At least one year of experience using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to support individuals with complex needs in a residential environment.
• Successful completion of internal legislated and mandated training, including Safe Management Group (SMG).
• Driver's license is an asset.

Job Summary

Support individuals in all aspects of daily living as part of an inter-professional team, including an ABA lead and Behavioural Services Consultant, to implement behavioural intervention/support plans. Emphasis on building capacity for community functioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop written programs in collaboration with the ABA lead to aid in acquiring life skills.
• Identify program needs, participate in developing and implementing life plans, and monitor achievement of personal outcomes.
• Provide case management, personal and physical care, medication administration, crisis response, and advocacy.
• Offer emotional support individually or in groups, referring to professionals when necessary.
• Maintain documentation, monitor finances, and ensure a standard of living.
• Provide direction to part-time staff as required.
• Provide feedback to ABA lead regarding program implementation.
