Your Opportunity:

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services (AHS) currently offers a Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually. This allowance is non-pensionable and paid hourly for all hours at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As an EMS Clinical Educator, you will identify, develop, implement, and deliver various training programs and initiatives. You will monitor the transfer of learning into practice, support competency assessments of EMS practitioners, and provide ongoing learning and development support. Facilitation methods include lectures, e-learning, simulations, and real-time coaching and mentoring. All applicants external or internal to AHS, who do not already hold a clinical position within AHS EMS, must provide proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test via a certificate from Lifemark. The test must be completed within six (6) months prior to your application date. Alberta Health Services EMS may verify test results with Lifemark. Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) Advanced Care Paramedic program
- Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP)
- Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Completion of the F.A.R.E. test within the last six (6) months

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in adult education
- Experience facilitating instruction to adult learners
- Instructor status in ACLS, PALS, NRP
