Position Summary

If you are experienced with managing or administering payroll, tax, or benefits and want to join an organization that is growing with significant opportunities to make a positive impact, come join our team. Our organization's growth is largely driven by acquisition, and the System Conversions team is responsible for converting clients from their legacy systems onto our processing platform. The Conversion Consultant ensures the successful go-live of their assigned clients by communicating directly with clients about changes and coordinating internal resources for setup and validation. You will leverage your knowledge of processes and procedures to assist with data validation across various formats, identify issues, and participate in problem-solving. This role demands a detail-oriented individual committed to delivering high-quality system conversions under tight deadlines, with strong analytical skills and thoroughness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage all client interactions: setting expectations, training, processing payrolls, resolving issues, and gathering information.
  2. Partner with internal teams on system requirements, providing input on client-specific complexities and setup issues.
  3. Review previous client system design to ensure the new system meets their needs and communicate expected differences.
  4. Assist clients with initial payroll processing on the new system, ensuring accuracy before transition.
  5. Provide system-level training and user access to clients.
  6. Monitor email communications professionally and promptly.
  7. Update on conversion status, documenting risks or barriers to go-live.
  8. Track and resolve outstanding client issues.
  9. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  10. Document issues and follow up for resolution.
  11. Manage a group of clients through their conversion to go-live.
  12. Engage in analysis sessions, collaborating with other departments and clients.
  13. Continuously learn and enhance knowledge of systems, processes, and industry trends.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Proficiency in Excel.
  2. Ability to manage multiple projects and daily client matters effectively.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness across organizational levels and cultures.
  4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
  5. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Experience with benefits, payroll, or tax processing or administration.
  8. Adaptability to change and contribution to new initiatives.
  9. Ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  10. Skill in building and managing relationships in a cross-functional environment.
Education & Experience
  1. Payroll processing or benefits administration experience required.
  2. Payroll experience preferred.
  3. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  4. Experience with system conversions or implementations preferred.
  5. Experience with payroll software/applications preferred.
