Job Summary
- Maintain the stock room and oversee the receipt and distribution of supplies.
Essential Functions
- Assist with supply check-in and verify supplies against purchase orders.
- Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
- Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
- Maintain a cost requisition system.
- Ensure the stock room is clean, safe, and organized.
- Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each patient and transfer the information into the computer system for billing.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the company's Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information to protect rights.
- Understand growth and development principles for the entire lifespan and provide appropriate care for adult and geriatric patients as needed.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform job duties appropriately.
- Read and comprehend information necessary to perform job responsibilities.
- Work effectively under stress and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
