Your opportunity

Dillon’s Transportation & Facilities technical group is looking for an Electrical Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

This position is available at our Windsor office.

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

Design & Drafting

  1. Assist Electrical Engineers and Project Managers with the design and drafting support for multi-disciplinary projects.
  2. Assist with the preparation of reports and project memos.

On-site observation

  1. Performance of electrical observations during construction.
  2. Commissioning of on-site systems.
  3. Business travel upon request.

Learning & Development

  1. Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
  2. Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

  1. An electrical engineering technologist diploma.
  2. Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist in the province of Ontario or eligible to be certified within six months.
  3. Two to three years’ work experience, however less experienced professionals will be considered.

Experience

  1. Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2014 (or newer).
  2. Working knowledge of Revit as a Building Information Management (BIM) design tool.
  3. Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and related building codes.
  4. Microstation experience is an asset.
  5. Hands-on experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems is required.
  6. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
