Processor - Dry Ice (Summer Student) Dartmouth, NS

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant health, safety and environmental standards;
  • Cut (depending on location), pack and prepare dry ice orders for various segments of the dry ice market;
  • Load trailers and ship dry ice directly to branches or customers;
  • Perform general warehouse maintenance;
  • Complete required shipping documents;
  • Operate forklift and electric pallet truck;
  • Follow standard operating procedures;
  • Willing to work overtime as needed to meet peak product demands;
  • Flexible hours, as schedules and shifts are subject to change.
  • Environmental and quality control awareness

Required qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Experience working in an industrial environment is an asset;
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulics preferred.
  • Required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Safety conscious;
  • Comfortable with computers and data entry systems;
  • Able to lift up to a maximum of 23 kg (50 lb) repetitively;
  • Able to work cooperatively with others;
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift license through the company.
