Job description

Job Overview

The individual will perform machine setup and operate machines as needed, producing parts per print for customer orders at various workstations throughout the ABM Department. The role requires compliance with current ISO requirements, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

A Day In The Life
  1. Perform setup on ABM machines, including tooling changes and adjustments to ensure specifications are met.
  2. Operate ABM machines, including loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips.
  3. Ensure conformance with quality specifications.
  4. Troubleshoot machines and complete maintenance activities as needed.
  5. Assist in training others on operation and setup of ABM machines.
  6. Track components and tools used on ABM machines, such as hydraulic fittings, motors, drill heads, etc.
  7. Coordinate with planning/scheduling to assist with machine scheduling.
  8. Help train additional setup personnel.
  9. Operate machinery according to print specifications, shop order, and inspection charts.

Mechanically inclined: Good with tools and machinery, adaptable to fixing both familiar and unfamiliar equipment.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform standard mathematical calculations to make machine adjustments, applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in relevant computer applications. Other Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail, organization, and the drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
