This position is open to support the firm's growing portfolio of specialized projects and ensure continued excellence in project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform fundamental engineering calculations and conduct code reviews to determine system loads and requirements.
  2. Analyze and evaluate system types and propose design solutions tailored to the project’s needs.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine designs and align with the client’s project objectives.
  4. Conduct on-site surveys to assess building conditions, systems, and components.
  5. Design and draft various building systems, including sprinkler systems, plumbing, drainage, hydronic hot and chilled water systems, HVAC systems, and controls.
  6. Prepare and update project specifications.
  7. Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure design compliance, evaluate progress invoices, address contractor inquiries, and oversee equipment commissioning.

Must Haves:

  1. Licensed professional engineer with a minimum of three years of experience.
  2. Strong understanding of quality standards in engineering design and core engineering principles.
  3. Proficiency in Revit and BIM platforms with technical detailing expertise.
  4. Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while following direction effectively.
  6. Eligible for government security clearance.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and spoken).
  2. Experience with complex, high-profile engineering projects.
  3. Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy-efficient design principles.
