Job Description:

Parsons seeks a Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support power generation infrastructure projects in Texas and Georgia.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide overall management direction and supervision for the Construction Quality Control (CQC) system, including administrative and supervisory responsibilities for all program quality control systems.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Control Plan and Quality Management System to ensure compliance with client requirements, contract standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain consistent on-site presence during construction to oversee quality procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications and professional architectural and engineering standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute audits, including reporting, resolving findings, and follow-up to ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Document and track internal and external corrective actions, ensuring root cause analysis and effective resolution.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintain detailed logs of inspections, identified hazards, recommended actions, and correction status.
  • Conduct quality engineering reviews of design and construction documentation to ensure compliance with contract requirements, vendor submittals, quality manuals, and company records.
  • Ensure preparation, review, and timely submission of all required submittals and deliverables.
  • Actively participate in preparatory, initial, and follow-up quality control phase meetings.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent application and communication of quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support quality management and program success.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from an ABET-accredited university/institution.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in related quality management work. This experience shall include at least one project involving installing at least 10 MW of new power generation, for which the individual served as the CQC System Manager.
  • Current Army CQM Certificate required.
  • Requires management ability and knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes, and current technology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other departments tactfully and professionally.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills. Ability to make public presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO Quality Management System Standards.
  • Ability to direct and manage team members on day-to-day activities and special projects to ensure timely completion.

Education and Experience:

Licensure

  • Current license as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a U.S. state or territory, with experience on at least five similar projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • Alternatively, a construction professional with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quality management may be considered.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in construction projects related to power infrastructure or microgrids.
  • Experience serving as a CQC System Manager on at least one project involving the installation of 10 MW or more of new power generation is required.

Certifications

  • Current Army “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” (CQM-C) certificate (completed and passed within the last 5 years).
  • 30-Hour OSHA Construction Industry Safety certification.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems Standards.
  • Management-level understanding of quality management practices, processes, and technologies.
  • Proven ability to direct and manage quality personnel and activities, including daily operations and special projects.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to deliver public presentations and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
