In thisfield-based position, we provide full training for motivatedindividuals with a background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, orheavy equipment operation. This hands-on, physically demanding roleoffers unique opportunities to work outdoors, travel across therailways, and grow your career in a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate and maintain Loram’s specialized rail maintenanceequipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform hands-onmechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance, includinginspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Collaborate withteammates to ensure optimal equipment performance and adherence tosafety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the team viaradio, in-person, and written methods.
  • Follow FederalRailroad Administration (FRA), OSHA, and Loram safety protocols at alltimes.
  • Participate in training to continuously improve yourskills and support your career growth.

RequiredQualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able and eligible toenter the United States for training; posses and maintain a validpassport
  • No prior rail experience required—we’ll train you!
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, work ethic, and eagerness to learn andgrow
  • Commitment to safety and industry standards
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written communication

What to Expect:

  • Must be able to travel100% of the time, including international, using any method oftransportation.
  • Rotational field assignments (6–8 weeks at atime) with long workdays (12+ hours)
  • Physically demandingwork outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Extensive walking,climbing, lifting (75+ lbs), and working in confined spaces or atheights
  • Exposure to unique challenges and opportunities todevelop practical, in-demand skills

  • Ability to walk 5–9 miles per day on uneventerrain
  • Climb ladders and step up 36 inches multiple timesdaily
  • Lift and handle tools/equipment weighing 75+ lbs
