The Business Development (BD) Administrator will work closely with the national Industrial BD team with focus on activities in eastern Canada. Acting as a key point of contact for BD Managers and Directors, the BD Administrator will support effective and efficient execution of client-facing activities, using tools such as CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and Power BI to inform alignment and decision-making.

This position is based in Toronto.

What you will be working on:

  • Working with BD team to align initiatives, share information and execute client-facing activities
  • Coordinating intake of client requests for prequalification information and expressions of interest, ensuring all documentation is received, tracked and distributed as appropriate
  • Regular data entry, coordination with the BD team on records, as well as reviewing and updating historical records in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Monitor multiple inboxes and distribute information in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update the BD team SharePoint files
  • Tracking and coordinating local memberships, sponsorships and conferences
  • Supporting the BD team with marketing materials and giveaways for events, sponsorships, and conferences
  • Assist with preparation of marketing initiatives including social media, special events, conferences, print and online material, presentations, and reports
  • Documenting meeting outcomes and actions, following up with responsible individuals and participating in national BD meetings, both virtual and in person
  • Maintaining effective communication across the Industrial East BD team and in alignment with the Industrial West BD team.
  • Support planning and executing events with the BD team for current clients and other stakeholders
  • Aligning events and marketing activities with industry events

What are we looking for:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to show initiative and autonomy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Creating reports and analyzing data to be provided to the team
  • Proven ability to learn and implement systems and processes to improve team effectiveness and efficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Design Programs would be considered an asset
  • Experience using a CRM program is an asset but not required
