A day in the life of a Meat Wrapper: You will interact directly with customers, answer questions about grilling and nutrition, and assist in preparing quality meat cuts. Our Meat Cutters are trained to uphold Safeway's reputation for quality. Join us to help offer our customers some of our best-selling products.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers politely and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain merchandise displays according to company standards
• Operate commercial power equipment safely
• Write orders, receive and rotate products
• Fill meat counters and showcases
• Use hand wrappers, scales, and price meats accurately
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation

Qualifications:

• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated, team-oriented, and customer service focused
• Communicate clearly in spoken and written English
• Work safely and responsibly
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and Sundays (Alberta only)

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly lift up to 20 pounds
• Occasionally lift between 20-50 pounds
• Constantly grip and handle tools
• Frequently stand, bend, walk, twist, carry, push, and pull
• Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures
