Job description

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of each assigned patient. Provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff activities, anticipate patient needs, follow up on all care activities, and ensure physician orders are accurately transcribed and executed in a timely manner. Coordinate the care plan, conduct patient teaching specific to disease management and home care, and actively participate in ensuring continuity of care. Collaborate with nursing and ancillary services for seamless communication and uninterrupted patient care. Model leadership, foster teamwork, and mentor peers and colleagues.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • CA RN license
  • BLS (AHA required)
  • ACLS
  • PALS within 90 days of hire
  • One year ED experience

Please note: This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing requirement must be fulfilled through internal facility resources; external RQI providers are not accepted for compliance.
