Clarity Counselling Services is a well-established private therapy practice and trusted provider of counselling and psychotherapy to clients throughout Ontario. We are seeking a motivated, passionate therapist to join our Timmins, ON team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or related field, OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Registration as an RSW, RP, or RP (Qualifying)
  • Professional Liability Insurance upon start-date
  • 2+ years of experience in providing psychotherapy
  • Training in one or more therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, IFS, EFT, SFT, a trauma-specific therapy, etc.)

Experience and/or education in any of the following specializations are strongly considered an asset:

  • Disordered eating, trauma-informed and trauma-specific practice, EMDR, OCD, family therapy

Successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Ability to work well independently (self-motivated, organized) as well as part of a team (working collaboratively and professionally, upholding policies and practices of CCS)
  • Proficiency in assessment; therapeutic interventions; building safe, respectful, empathetic, and trusting therapeutic alliances; timely client record keeping
  • Ability to assess risk, and understand reporting obligations, and understanding of relevant legislation
  • Ability to tailor interventions to clients’ specific needs, goals, and strengths
  • Strong level of self-awareness and safe-effective use of self in session
  • Openness to learning, collaboration, and growth
  • Comfortability with offering sessions in office, via phone, video, or walk-and-talk
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and humility, working from an anti-oppressive and non-discriminatory framework
  • Availability for evenings and weekends is an asset
