Are you a dynamic and organized professional fluent in both English and French? Do you have an interest in managing complex projects and ensuring customer satisfaction? If so, we want you to join our team as a Project Manager!

Introduction:

As a Project Manager, you will be at the heart of our Market Area Project execution, ensuring timely delivery of parts and quality customer communication. You will play a crucial role in meeting customer expectations, fulfilling contract obligations, and achieving targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Your responsibilities will include stakeholder communication and relationship management with customers, suppliers, and internal units.

You will join a team of project management experts who are passionate about providing turnkey solutions to our customers. We are currently working on several major retrofit/upgrade/maintenance projects across Canada.

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as our Field Services and Sales group. Our team culture is all about getting it done together.

What you’ll do:

  1. Manage Field Service and Life Cycle Services (LCS) turnkey contracts in line with Metso’s global processes, tools, and policies.
  2. Oversee project execution, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet customer expectations and contract obligations.
  3. Conduct internal and external kick-off meetings to define project goals and clarify contractual issues.
  4. Develop project schedules, coordinating with various Metso departments using MS Project.
  5. Collaborate with technical support staff to design procedures, special tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
  6. Maintain records of installation progress and technical information for all field service events.
  7. Coordinate field activities with customers and their contractors.
  8. Manage lessons learned, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and provide feedback to stakeholders.

Who you are:

  1. Fluency in English and French (speaking, reading, and writing) is desirable.
  2. Candidates with experience in project execution in the mining or heavy equipment industries are encouraged to apply.
  3. Project management certification or a relevant professional degree is an asset.
  4. Proficiency in SAP is required; Salesforce experience is beneficial.
  5. Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  6. Knowledge of Metso capital equipment products, especially crushers, is advantageous.
  7. Understanding of commercial and legal terms and conditions.
  8. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is a bonus.
  9. Advanced customer relations and interpersonal skills.
