Our client, the Canadian leader in the rapidly advancing field of location intelligence located in Markham has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a Senior Network Administrator (IT Support).

Job Summary and Essential Functions:

Our client is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and outgoing individual to join their IT team. Focusing on System Administration (servers/network/software/AD), you will also spend approximately 20% of your time providing Helpdesk support to remote and local users, and another 20% assisting the IT Manager on a variety of IT and corporate-directed projects. You have a proven track record of providing excellent support to internal customers, while staying current on changes in technology. You have a preference for an aggressive, entrepreneurial company where change happens on a daily basis. Most importantly, you want to be in a place that’s full of people like you – “A” players who are intelligent, share passion for their work, and know how to have fun!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer use of local area networks (LANs), wide networks (WANs), workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Provide IT support to all staff, local and remote
  • Research, assess, test and implement new technologies
  • Interact with staff to stay current with all technological requirements.
  • Support all PCs, handheld devices, printers, faxes, scanners and copiers
  • Prepare documentation as required.

Must Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience providing Network Administration and IT – related support.
  • A solid understanding of all Windows Operating Systems, focusing on Win2008/2003 and Win 7
  • Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suites
  • Experience with VMware vSphere
  • Understanding of network infrastructures including but not limited to network printers, switches, workstations, routers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at once.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude
